Rustie – Raptor

I was worried Rustie had disappeared off the face of the earth. Ever since the release of his excellent debut album Glass Swords in 2011, the Glaswegian producer prodigy has quietly paved the path for artists like Evian Christ and Flume to thrive in their realm of bombastic, electronic hip-hop inspired productions.

It turns out Rustie was in the studio working on his latest album Green Language, due out August 25th on Warp Records. Today he previewed the release with a characteristically frenzied new single titled “Raptor”. It has all the makings of a classic Rustie banger: anxiety-inducing synths, intense builds, and one hell of a drop. Stream the single below and take a look at the full tracklist for Green Language, featuring oddball rap favorite Danny Brown and East London grime MC D Double E.
